Making Your Home a Haven Week--Cared For

I mentioned yesterday that I was participating in Monica's week-long Making Your Home a Haven challenge. Yesterday, the goal was to CLEAN. I got most of the stuff on my list accomplished, but didn't quite get the dishes totally done or the floor mopped since my baby was having a very fussy, needy day! The worst part of yesterday was that I had been putting off going to the post office for weeks and I finally got my packages together and mustered up enough determination to load 3 little ones into the car, unload them, and haul them all into the post office with an armload of packages....only to discover....that it was Veteran's Day and the post office was closed!!! Uuuuggghhh!

So...today the emphasis is to have a home that is CARED FOR. What little projects have I been putting off?

The plan is:

*Spend time with the kids reading the Bible/singing/praying ---DONE
*Spend time praying over my day and meditating on Scripture--DONE
*Make a list of things that need to be accomplished that I've been putting off:
--Go to the post office (AGAIN!)
--Mend a few things on the sewing table
--Finish the dishes that almost got completely done yesterday
--Make a large batch of homemade tortillas and freeze the extras
--Re-organize Ali and Jeremiah's closet and sort clothes (a job I seem to do constantly but it always needs re-doing since they grow so fast and seasons change...)

If I get a chance I will also mop and do a good vacuuming today! I'm hoping Justus will be less fussy today. Could have been all those green onions I ate a couple of days ago!
