It's only taken me YEARS to finally realize that my house won't be clutter free once so-and-so picks up their such-and-such or I get rid of all my swap clothing bags/piles. Because once it's gone there are more piles and things. So now, this cute little cupboard in my closet is my "TO-GO Place." Here wait the bags of hand-me-downs to take to MN, the books my friend and father-in-law have loaned me, and the little things I need to remember to give to so-and-so. It's a little more out-of-sight-out-of-mind then putting this stuff on top of the entertainment center by the door, but I love the way it aids in a more clutter-free environment.
What do you do? Do you have a nifty shelf in your closet or a dresser drawer where you store these kinds of things?
Such a great idea!!! I hate having stuff everywhere just wating to be returned. I am trying to put it all on one closet shelf to have it together.
ReplyDeleteLove this!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up, we had an "outgoing" counter. Now I tend to pile stuff up on our ledge by the door, but I'd like to get some nice baskets or such to hide the clutter a bit.
We made your popcorn balls today! Boy, they made a lot! It was really fun, but I wasn't quite expecting the jello flavor. Did that surprise you, too? It was fun, though!
I enjoy the jello flavor. I've made a few batches of raspberry and since I like raspberry they tasted good to me! I did decide for any future batches I will cut out half of the sugar to make them a little less sweet.
ReplyDeleteBaskets would be a fun idea for hiding by-the-door clutter. I have one on top of my tv cabinet filled with little wrapped gifts that need to "go out" this weekend to a Christmas party.
I keep a box in my van. That way if I'm out and about and happen to see one of those people, I can give them whatever it is I have for them.
