Sew Crazy #4---The Cutest Skirt I've Ever Made!

Ever since Crystal featured a giveaway at biblicalwomanhood.com for one of these Gracie Ruffle skirts, I have been dying to make one. They are so pretty! I tried to make one on my own, but my ruffles weren't full enough and it was kind of a flop, which got improvised into a different cute skirt. So, I ordered this Marie-Madeline Studio pattern from Fasionably Modest Patterns (the cheapest deal on the web) and have been carefully crafting this skirt all week! It took a lot of time and I was more careful than I've ever been about measuring and pinning every hem perfectly so it would not have a single flaw.

There were two bands, three ruffles, and a yoke to cut out for this skirt. Now that I know how to make it, it will be a snap to put together any future skirts! I may just make myself one of these one day since I'm a mom that loves to have fun!

This skirt, which my friend Amy hired me to make for little Arianna a couple of months ago, is about the second cutest skirt I've ever made!

    adorable! love the fabric choices!

I, too, have wanted to make one of those skirts, but they seem like they'd take quite awhile... (as if the girls' new dresses went together in mere minutes - ha:-)

    excellent job!

  2. Cute! You could go into business for yourself! :) The best part though is that it matches her PINK cowboy boots ... that is the kicker!
