New Products

I'm wondering what you all think of these products pictured here. The Burt's Bees blemish stick was on a great clearance for $2.20 and I love other Burt's Bees products I have been given as gifts. I have heard of Emergen-C and wanted to get some to boost our immunity as we're getting over colds and have a big upcoming trip for Christmas. I'd love to hear people's comments on these products if you have used them.

  1. We've used Emergen-C and I like it but I much prefer, and use, sodium ascorbate. It's a buffered form of Vitamin C and by far the best source. 1/4 tsp. has 1,069% DV in it. Emergen-c basically works the same but you have to take A LOT more to get the same effect. With Sodium Ascorbate you take it until you reach bowel tolerance(basically diarrhea) and then you back off one dose so you know how much your body is absorbing. On a typical day I can tolerate say 5 grams but on a day when I'm sick I've taken up to 17 grams!! It's amazing how quickly your body absorbs vitamin C. I can give you some good links to this if you're interested.

  2. I have used the emergen-c in many different situations. I spoke with my natural doctor about it especially during my pregnancy and she said it was a perfect product to use because it is perfectly balanced. The vitamins that you receive from it can digest in your body and all be used. They don't counter act each other. I have also used it when I have traveled to different countries and during the summer times.

  4. I LOVE Emergen-C Lindsey!
My fav., way to drink it is to put it in juice.. makes it like "pop" as Leah says.. she has a small glass when I make some. :) I love what Sarah said about the pregnancy aspect too.. great to know. I've been taking it whenever I feel a bit "peaky".. it's great!
